Tree Services

Tree Surveys

Trees are living, moving organisms which are constantly changing and adapting to their environment.  However, even trees in good health can be a potential hazard to their surroundings. We can carry out either simple tree safety reports or tree surveys to BS5837.

Stump grinding

We have access to a range of stump grinding machines which are designed to efficiently and safely remove stumps in even the trickiest of spots!

Planting

Re-planting is vital for sustainable tree management and as a company we like to encourage replacement planting. With our knowledge of trees, we can help guide you towards appropriate selection of species and location to achieve anything from visually pleasing garden plantings to functional hedgerows.

Our timber products

We at Crown Tree Services realise the endless values that trees provide.  If felling or pruning them is necessary we like to use the bi-products in the most ecological manor.

We have a large range of milled timber for all of your bespoke furniture projects, as well as firewood and woodchip.

Please contact us detailing your needs.

Storm damaged & emergency trees

Our team are highly experienced in dealing with windblown and hazardous trees and we endeavour to respond to emergency call outs within 2 hours.

Hedge trimming

Whether you have a hedge which has been neglected and needs reducing heavily, or perhaps just regular maintenance, we can advise on what the best approach.

Pruning works

There are a variety of methods to improve the overall function, aesthetics and long-term health of a tree through a variety of pruning techniques. With most species of tree, a maximum of 30% of the crown can be removed before starting to threaten its health.

When pruning a tree every job has a unique approach; we can advise on the best approach to either reduxe the impact of the tree on its surroundings or to reduce the likelihood of it breaking or failing whilst keeping its amenity value as high as possible!

Precision dismantling

Quite often hazardous trees cannot be felled and must be carefully dismantled by climbing with a rope and harness or via mobile access platforms. Our team are experienced in using rigging and handling techniques to safely lower sections in confined spaces to avoid damage to the surroundings.

Tree felling

We always like to prevent the complete removal of trees through remedial work or sustainable management; however, sometimes it is a necessity to fell due to the ill health of a tree, to prevent conflict or the spread of pest and disease with other trees, or to make way for building and development.
